Feasts

If doctrine is a community’s skeleton, then the calendar is its heart and sinews; it’s what pumps life through its members and what holds them together so tightly. At Christ the King Evangelical Church, we mark our calendars with jolly feasts that fill both belly and soul. We feast because we have a happy God and a generous King. Here are some our annual feasts:

  • Advent

  • Pentecost

  • Easter

  • Summer Feast

Friendships

A good community is built on good friendships; it cannot be built by members who are neck deep in lifeless programs. At Christ the King Evangelical Church we are building the new humanity in Christ, which means we aren’t busying ourselves with meetings; we are busying ourselves with friendships. We’re sharing meals, ideas, hobbies, and other interests with laughter and cheer, knowing that the Spirit loves to use such camaraderie to build robust community that blesses the world.

Our men and women are currently using Doug Wilson’s Basic Christian Living to kick off the conversation.
